“My wife and I drove to
Buffalo
to hear Ernesto speak. I was so
impressed that I approached county officials about inviting him to
Tuscola
County
. I never dreamed I would be the
one to implement the program in our area.”
Mike Green,
Enterprise
Facilitator
Mike resides in Mayville with his wife Paula, and has 40
years of experience in private, corporate and governmental fields.
Mike
worked as a union tool and die maker for General Motors.
He left General Motors to bring his family to
Tuscola
County
and begin his own private business as a tool and die maker.
He and his family also enjoyed the perks of living in a rural area:
small schools, horses, and farming.
He has served
Tuscola
County
as both a
County
Commissioner
, and a State Representative.
This history, along with Mike’s innate ability to listen and
assess, qualifies him uniquely for the position of Enterprise Facilitator
for Tuscola Enterprise.
Enterprise
Facilitation® delivers uniquely tailored services to individual entrepreneurs.
As the Enterprise Facilitator, Mike personally meets with every client.
These meetings are confidential.
When Mike reports back to the Board of Management, he only reports the
number of people he has met and the number of people he has helped.
He does not report the names of the people he is meeting.
The only time Mike will report the name of a client is if that person
has requested to have his/her name revealed.
The Board of Management is also committed to confidentiality, and
nothing revealed in a meeting will be talked about outside of the meeting,
except as is required to aid the client.
As
Mike helps each client to assess their ideas, their plans, their needs, he is
able to ascertain what agency or what professional can meet the needs of that
client.
There is no cookie cutter formula that works for every person.
The consistent method that Mike uses is that of listening.
He does not interrupt the client to project his own ideas.
He allows the client to talk about his or her ideas, concepts, and
fears.
Nobody knows more about your idea than you do.
Mike won’t do the work for you, but he’ll teach you the
basics, connect you with the right people, and remove roadblocks along the
way. Mike will help you create a plan for your
business and find people that can help you get the resources you need.
