““I’m excited about
this. We have a lot of good people with (business) ideas,” said Thomas.
“This (program) comes at a good time to help promote the county and get
people excited about getting involved and making positive changes.””

A lifelong resident of Unionville is Tuscola County’s
new Sirolli Enterprise Facilitator.
Cyril “Cy” Thomas, who owns and operates Thomas
Marina, signed the contract to accept the position Tuesday. He will begin
training for his new position later this month.
Thomas, 43, has strong ties to Tuscola County. Thomas
Marina has been owned by his family for 100 years, and celebrates that
anniversary this year.
Besides owning and operating the marina, Thomas is also
part owner of Gutter Wizard, and has been a member of the Carpenters’ Union
for 15 years. He has taken classes at DeVry
University and SVSU.
Enterprise
Facilitation® delivers uniquely tailored services to individual entrepreneurs.
As the Enterprise Facilitator, Cy personally meets with every client.
These meetings are confidential.
When Cy reports back to the Board of Management, he only reports the
number of people he has met and the number of people he has helped.
He does not report the names of the people he is meeting.
The only time Cy will report the name of a client is if that person
has requested to have his/her name revealed.
The Board of Management is also committed to confidentiality, and
nothing revealed in a meeting will be talked about outside of the meeting,
except as is required to aid the client.
As
Cy helps each client to assess their ideas, their plans, their needs, he is
able to ascertain what agency or what professional can meet the needs of that
client.
There is no cookie cutter formula that works for every person.
The consistent method that Cy uses is that of listening.
He does not interrupt the client to project his own ideas.
He allows the client to talk about his or her ideas, concepts, and
fears.
Nobody knows more about your idea than you do.
Cy won’t do the work for you, but he’ll teach you the
basics, connect you with the right people, and remove roadblocks along the
way. Cy will help you create a plan for your
business and find people that can help you get the resources you need.
If
you would like to contact Cy Thomas to discuss your business idea, his
contact info will be provided in early October after he completes his
training by the Sirolli Institute.
